Moving Head lights are lights that rotate and beams of light shine all around the venue. The main base of the light stays in one position, and the top part spins around doing all different effects. Most moving heads come with DMX Technology allowing you to program your very own light show!
Moving Head lights are automated and have built in programs allowing them to work by themselves, if you purchase 2 moving head lights, we would recommend to link one with the other with an DMX Cable, to allow both moving heads to do the same auto program. Moving heads can also be programmed into light software to create your own light show!

A Moving Head beam is a focused, tight solid beam that can be used in productions, and large venues. A Moving Head spot is a focused beam that allows it to be angled and create different pattens, mainly a gobo!

What is a moving head used for in the venue?
Moving Heads can be used in a small venue or party to a massive stage or arena, and they are designed to create an awesome light show by shinning light all around the venue. Moving Heads are used by DJs, Parties, Concerts & More!
What Type of moving heads are there?
There are 3 main types of moving heads, A Wash moving head, Beam Moving Head and Spot Moving Head. A Wash moving head is designed to create a wash of light and move this around the venue. A Beam moving head is designed to create a tight beam of light and move this around the venue, and a Spot is designed for the beam to be adjusted, often with Gobo’s or different pattens.
How do I hang a moving head?
Moving Heads are normally hung on T-Bars or Trussing, Moving Heads will need to be attached to a T-Bar with a clamp, which will attach to the moving head, and them attach to the T-bar or trussing. They also have rubber feet on the bottom so could be put on the floor or at the back of the venue.
Do I need a haze machine with my moving heads?
The answer is no you don’t need one, however if you can use one it will enhance the moving head light by the haze shinning on the beams of light and making them stand out in the venue. We would recommend Haze rather than smoke if possible.
