What type of Wireless Microphones are there?
There are 2 types of wireless Microphones, You have a handheld microphone which is the most common, and you have a beltpack microphone. The difference between them is a Handheld microphone is the normal microphone that you see on stages, a beltpack microphone is a microphone that hooks onto your belt and you can either clip the microphone to your t-shirt, or you can use it as a headset giving your flexibility for the event your at.
What’s the difference between VHF and UHF?
VHF Microphones stand for Very High Frequency which use a smaller frequency band and are more likely to cause interference, UHF Microphones stands for Ultra High Frequency which is less likely to pick up any interference, Normally UHF Microphones have a longer range that you can stand away from the receiver.
How do you setup a wireless Microphone?
Wireless microphones are really easy to setup and use from the word go. Most of the microphones come already set on certain frequencies, so you will need to plug the microphone receiver into your mixing desk or amplifier using either an XLR Cable or a Jack to Jack Cable. Then you will need to insert the batteries into the wireless microphone, Add Power to the Receiver, and it should work straight away!
How do wireless Microphones work?
Wireless Microphones work by sending an invisible signal from the Wireless Microphone to the Receiver. Then the Receiver will pass that signal to your mixing desk or amplifier and make the sound come out of the speakers.
